Rose Villa is stunning! This is the best equipped and well explained cottage we have stayed in.

March: Lourenco family

We were very pleased with our stay at your villa. The house was very accessible, good size for a family, very well equipped and cosy.
The villa is situated between 2 towns within 4 miles so plenty to go around if anyone likes towns or a long walk is recommended around to
the near beach.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but plenty of games to have a full afternoon entertained.

House is amazing and comfortable. Will come back soon.

March: Coles family

Our 4th time here - the place gets better every time! Wonderful Villa and so clean. We will be back.

Excellent location in one of the most fabulous coastal areas in Europe. Very comfortble house with a lot of charm. We had a lovelytime exploring the area. Rose Villa is well-equipped and cosy. Thank you!

July :  Penwill family

Spent lovely week exploring locally and visiting relatives. Very well equipped and cosy cottage. Loved the situation so close to the beach and so many walks straight from the door. Old Sailors pub at the bottom of the hill in Pwllgwaelod is great. Food only served 12-3. Currently pub shuts around 6pm but depends on weather! Lovely walks around Dinas Head, coastal path in both directions, Pwll Deri, Porthgain to Blue Lagoon (Abereiddy). Ty Canol woods would have been great without the thunderstorm!!

Lovely, characterful home in a fabulous location for walking the coastal path. The kitchen was very well equipped. The utility room was great for wet walking gear and our dogs food and equipment. Plenty of indoor and outdoor games. The living room and bedroom were very comfortable.

We hadn't realised quite how small the garden/courtyard was, but it was adequate for our dog to do his business when necessary. The stairs were narrow and steep, especially to get to the loo in the night.

June:  Britton family

Hot, sunny, perfect. The ubiquitous term is WONDERFUL and that's what it's been. (fantastic wildlife photos)

November: Bellinger family

Thank you so much for sharing Rose Villa with us. We have had a wonderful week and have been very lucky with the weather. Our dog Digby loved having a beach within walking distance and on one visit we saw a seal. Lovely area, cozy cottage - everything we needed

November: Franklin family

Despite typical Welsh weather and rain we had a wonderful time and really appreciated a lovely cozy villa to come back to each day.

October: Light family

Just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful stay in your cottage! Definitely the most well equipped holiday cottage we have ever stayed in in Pembrokeshire. Very thoughtfully presented, especially for the children. We have had a great week and the proximity to Pwllgwaelod was amazing! We usually run down to Aberbach but being only a few minutes from Pwllgwaelod.. I’m not sure we will ever stay anywhere else!

David Light met a few more ‘Lights’ in the village..Kayak-king was also a great recommendation and one we will definitely do again now that the children are a bit older.

September : Manning family

Lovely cottage, lovely location. Disappointed not to see any dolphins but great views of seals and pups at Deer Park near Marloes, and Mwnt beach. Can recommend the Castle Inn, Newport for a friendly welcome and vegan and dog friendly (not an easy combination!). Also delicious scones at gallery opposite cottage. Thank you Wendy and Philip

August: Summerfield family

A terrific week. Thanks. We loved the cottage and the area is lovely. Lots of time on the beach, including supping from the local in the sun. Thank you!

August: Kallaway family

Back again for a week of glorious sunshine in this beautiful cottage of wonders. DurIng the week we visited some beaches in which the local beach was our favourite. We also had an amazing boat trip down Teifi river. Our eldest (aged 9) did a sailing course during a 2-day span that she really enjoyed. We also went to the iron age fort which was brilliant! We had a brilliant time.

August: Walker family

Very special week of long days on the beach at  Aberbach, Aberfforest and of course the lovely Pwllgaelod with a pub. Car only used the once for a great meal at Castle Inn, Newport. Just what we needed. We will be back.

July: Shedden family

A lovely house and beautiful surroundings. In particular we really appreciated the thoroughly well stocked kitchen which is not the case at other Air BnB's we've stayed at. Philip also provided us with lots of information at the house detailing the various beaches (organised by type: sandy, adventurous, isolated, etc) and popular guest suggested walks and cycles. We would recommend dinner at Tides in Newport too if you fancy something a little nicer than usual.

June: Brackenbury

I have come 12,000 miles from New Zealand to this glorious part of the planet, and it has been a truly wonderful experience, Thank you for a week that has felt like a lifetime. I can now tell a puffin from a razorbill!

Cottage was really good. Excellent position for visiting St Davids, Fishguard, Newport Sands and Cardigan The Art gallery just down the road is excellent. Good coffee and cakes and very friendly. Recommend this cottage as an excellent place to stay .

May: The Billington  family

Thank you so much for such a wondereful week. Both the cottage and area were beautiful. There are so many walks from the door that we only used the car once in the week. In fact we feel we need to return to do the walks we could not fit into one weeks exploring. Many thanks. P.S. Great pictures.

April-May: The Elliot family

We have used this comfortable house as a wonderful base for our walk along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. We were welcomed by a large hedgehog outside the back door - he subsequently left by walking up a temporary ramp we constructed for him to exit the garden! (only a courtyard - owners) Packing to leave this morning, both cuckoo and raven calling outside! Would love to return.

April: The Probert family

This has been an amazing holiday holiday going and experiencing things with my family. The location of the cottage is perfect for a butiful walk to Fishguard or a nice sunny day at the beach. It has a amazing local life with the food and people this cottage is worth the money for a perfect time with the family. Thank you for the experience - from Alex (14yrs)

Such a wonderful time, full of family fun and memories. Sarah (Mum)

March: The Underhill family

Rose Villa is the most charming of Welsh Holiday homes we have ever stayed in. Exceptionally well decorated, full of character and period features. This location is superb - such a beautiful coastline with stunning views and walks. Wendy and Philip gave us so many ideas on where to go and eat - The Shed in Porthgain serves the best seafood dishes. We will be back!

December: The Young family

As I rather hoped this was the perfect place to spend a few days clearing the Christmas carols from my head! What a beautiful cottage with everything, absolutely everything one needs. This is such a haven for so many reasons. I hope we shall be able to return. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful space. Happy and Healthy 2022!

October: The Roberts family

Wonderful cottage! Best we've stayed in for a long time. We'll be back!

September: The Worthington family

Rose Villa is the perfect holiday cottage: comfortable, superbly well-equipped, walks to the coastal path, two beaches and two pubs - what more could you ask? We loved the gallery/cafe across the road, and so enjoyed the fabulous photos in the cottage. We liked the ability to walk to an evening meal - Freemasons Arms welcoming with decent pub food. We've relaxed and stayed mainly local - recommend Dyffryn Fernant Gardens (pleasantly wild) and of course Newport Sands. Three sunny days out of six - can't be bad for September. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

September: The Foulkes family

We have had a lovely time in this beautiful cottage. It's very charming and so thoughtfully equipped. We had a fantastic boat trip to Ramsey Island and I'd particularly recommend setting your alarm clock early and walking up the coast path whilst the world is waking up - truly renewing for the spirit! Thanks so much!

September: The Walsh family

We had a great stay. The house was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Great location to visit all the lovely local beaches and we were privileged to share time with a pod of dolphins at Cwm yr Eglws.  Would be very happy to return.

August: The Stephenson family

We have been staying in this area for years and this has definitely been an amazing cottage to stay in – love the hose by the door and the big utility room – very well equipped. We went coasteering with Preseli Venture which definitely recommend – it was great for the whole family to do together. Also horse riding up the road at Havard Stables, We also like walking to Fforest beach and exploring the waterfall behind the beach. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

August: The Kallaway family

Thank you for a truly fantastic (holiday) at Rose Villa. Despite the weather we managed to get to the beaches to blow away cobwebs most days. Our favourite beaches were Cwm yr Eglwys, Newport Sands and Pwllgwaelod. On Saturday we also popped to Fishguard Farmers Market and listen to impromptu folk music on the harbour. Newport ice creams were a favourite on the main road through. We also had a boat trip with A Bay To Remember and spent a great rainy day out at the Welsh Wildlife Centre and Ty Canol woods. Very much hope to be back next year!

August: The Regel family

A very fantastic week in a stunning cottage. The kitchen is perfect and we had a perfect holiday here. Thank you so much.

July: The Davies family

What a beautiful cottage in a stunning location!  The house is spotless and very well equipped. It is very cozy! We very much enjoyed our week here. We appreciated the calm and quiet neighbourhood. We loved walking along the coastal paths and spending time on nearby beaches. Everything was great. Thank you

July: The Bromwich family

Our 3rd year and due to covid restrictions later than usual but along with  the fabulous weather were long days to enjoy.  Nice food at the Trewern Arms, Nevern and Bishops at St David’s. Fabulous scenery particularly along the coast at Abercastle with peregrin falcon flying across to the island off the harbour. Porthgain crowded due to filming a period Amazon production starring Russell Crow! Carew Castle and mill was worth the visit. The local walk of the Fort and Marine walk give good views of Fishguard etc. Everyone and everywhere just great. Looking forward to our return.

June: The Roper family

The cottage has everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped, large bathroom with wonderful walk in shower with good water pressure, and large velux window letting loads of light in. For cold evenings there’s a stove fire plus the property is fully centrally heated so very cosy. Across the Lane is an art gallery that also serves drinks and food, the creams tea is a delight. There are 2 beaches both in walking distance and one also has a pub just back from the beach, plus plenty of other beaches/ coves within walking distance. If you like walking then there’s loads of different routes straight from the property. And if you kayak then you’ll love exploring this coastline.

May: The Truby family

Our second visit to Rose Villa, just as special  as the first. Lovely house perfectly equipped and great hosts. Everyone we met in the village is so friendly.  Recommend taking a walk along the coastal path towards Fishguard (path off the road to the beach) and getting the bus back.  Lovely hidden beaches and views.  Already looking forward to visit number 3.

The perfect cottage.Love the colour scheme. A great kitchen to work in. Fabulous walks, excellent beaches and loved the cream teas at the gallery opposite.

September: The Monnington family

A perfect week in every respect. Rose Villa was excellent in every respect; beautifully decorated; every facility required/needed available. Even the weather was as requested! Sunshine every day - ideal for walking and relaxing.
Only one day raining, which was just right for a visit to Ty-Canol ancient oak forest  (even saw some goblins ! ) We’ll be back!!!

(via WWHC): Rose villa is ideal for a family holiday in west Wales. It is located in a quiet village, but with excellent access to local beaches and coastal paths. The cottage is very clean and well-decorated and the owners have provided everything that you could possibly need. The huge file of information ensured that we understood every aspect of the cottage and also gave us lots of great ideas for exploring the local area - in fact , so many that we will definitely have to come back!

August: The Greenhalgh family

We had a lovely holiday despite the weather! Kids loved the extra table to leave a game set up while we ate on the other ! (via WWHC):The information about the local area, walks, beaches, places to visit etc which really helped us make the most of our stay. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the large main shower was bliss after being in the sea. Thank you!

Great food at the Golden Lion  and best hot chocolate ever after long walk  at the Old Sailors at the bottom of the hill. Thank you for all the information about things to do

We have really enjoyed exploring the area and we have had a wonderful stay. Many thanks.

August: Linnea and Annette

We loved the holiday cottage! The view is amazing here! (no view from the cottage - owners) This cottage is in the best location! We loved going to the beach! And amazing weather! The flyers in the kitchen were very nice and helpful so we ended up going on a boat ride to see dolphins. The end of each day we sat on the couch with the fire on. Thanks!

August: Lange family, Germany

We had a very nice time indeed. The cottage was perfectly suitable for us; we did not miss anything. In fact, this has certainly been the best equipped place we have ever stayed in. Thank you!
You might find it helpful to know that we were quite positively surprised to find the rooms in the cottage to be bigger and brighter than we expected. The pictures (on the website) make them look smaller and darker than they actually are.

July: Ange, Clive, Owen and Milo

We know the area (North Pembs) well and thoroughly enjoyed our week here - lovely spot - several beaches and pubs within walking distance! Fully equipped house with owners going above and beyond to provide the best time - we'll be back. Many thanks.

July: Smith family, Lancashire

We've loved every minute and have been blessed with glorious sunshine! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped.

We've walked the coastal path to Newport and to Fishguard and got the bus back.

Would recommend Wednesday pie night at the Freemasons. Picnics on the beach were gorgeous and we've walked for miles and miles, even ulexhausting Woody the springer spaniel. Thank you.

P.S. My best friend Suzanne, who died last year, loved Cwm-Yr-Eglwys as a child - and I can see why.

June: Alan and Marion, Stourbridge:

Our first visit and despite a mixed week for weather, was splendid, with the cottage being delightful and homely. Lots to see and visited Ramsey Island, Eiegug Stack rocks and Strumble Head for seabirds, Carew Castle and tidal mill very interesting. Picton Castle and owl collection also. Fishguard market on Thursday good for local produce.

We definitely hope to return.

June: Rankin family

Thanks for a lovely stay. We enjoyed the house, the location, the whole coast line, the local pubs and beaches; and were fortunate with the weather. We'll definitely be back. Having only a tiny paved garden was a drawback with a dog. It was just as described, so no complaints, it made us go out walking more often than we sometimes wanted!

May: Elana, Simon and family
